New Nursery in Wallington Opening September 2026

We’re excited to announce that The Butterfly Patch Wallington will be opening its doors on 1st September 2026, bringing our unique approach to early years education to even more families across South London.

Located within Wallington Primary Academy, our new nursery has been thoughtfully designed to provide a warm, welcoming and inspiring environment where children aged from 3 months to 3 years can learn, explore and grow.

Whether your little one is taking their first steps into nursery life or you’re looking for a new setting that fits around your family’s routine, we’re looking forward to welcoming our first families to The Butterfly Patch Wallington.

At The Butterfly Patch, we believe that children learn best when they feel happy, secure and inspired to explore the world around them.

Our Wallington nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with experiences carefully planned around each child’s individual interests, development and next steps. Our environments are inspired by The Curiosity Approach, using natural materials, authentic resources and open-ended opportunities that encourage children to investigate, problem-solve and develop independence.

From creative activities and sensory exploration to outdoor play and opportunities to build friendships, every part of the nursery has been designed to support children’s confidence, curiosity and love of learning.

Being based within Wallington Primary Academy gives families the reassurance of a familiar school environment while still offering a dedicated nursery space designed specifically for younger children.

For families with children who will eventually move on to Reception, being familiar with a school setting can help make future transitions feel more comfortable and positive.

Flexible childcare to support busy families

We understand that every family’s routine is different, which is why The Butterfly Patch Wallington offers flexible childcare options during school term time.

Our nursery will be open Monday to Friday, 7:30am–6:00pm during term time, with full-day and half-day sessions available.

Term-time childcare can be a great option for families who work in education, follow the school calendar, or simply prefer a nursery routine that matches school holidays.

Supporting children’s development through meaningful experiences

The early years are a hugely important time for building confidence, communication, independence and social skills.

At The Butterfly Patch Wallington, children will have opportunities to:
